At CCL Faubel, we rely on our 4.2‑inch Smart Labels in the Logistics Label configuration for production. These labels feature a battery‑free e‑paper display and an integrated RFID tag. This enables us to create greater process reliability, organization, and transparency in the daily work of our employees.
What exactly is it about?
In the past, information such as
- the adhesive manufacturer used,
- the batch number,
- the time the adhesive was opened, and
- the expiration date
was handwritten on notes. Especially under time pressure, this was often hard to read or the notes got lost.
Today, we record this data digitally using a mobile device. The data is then transferred directly onto logistics labels. These labels are, for example, placed on the whiteboard in production and can be updated at any time using a suitable handheld device or smartphone. Access is limited to department managers, ensuring that any changes remain traceable.
The benefits at a glance
- Consistent and easy-to-read display (no more handwriting)
- No loss of paper slips – the smart label stays right where it’s needed
- Increased process reliability and traceability
- Quick overview for all shifts – without lengthy follow-up questions
- A further step toward our digital, low‑paper production environment
